Will the licensed assets ever cease? Not until San Diego Comic Con is but a bitter memory. This one’s for Marvel Heroes, Gazillion’s heroic free-to-play MMORPG.

The action-oriented title has players questing to stop Doctor Doom, whose doing something suitably nefarious with one Cosmic Cube. Players unlock heroes as they progress, and confirmed characters include Iron Man, Black Panther, Captain America, the Human Torch, The Hulk, Deadpool, Black Widow, Scarlet Witch, Cyclops, Thor, and Wolverine, probably among others I’m not hardcore enough to recognise.

It was previously known as Marvel Universe Online and is due for release before the end of the year, maybe.
