3DS XL to receive Circle Pad Pro later this year, will support data transfer
Although many gamers were disappointed that the 3DS XL design does not include a second Circle Pad, a 3DS XL version of the Circle Pad Pro accessory will be released for the console later this year in Japan.

According to Andriasang, a Q&A published in the latest issue of Famitsu confirms the accessory’s existence. Outside of a 2012 release window, no further details are shed on the accessory.
In addition, the Q&A also confirms that purchasers of the 3DS XL will be able to transfer data from the 3DS console, as possible between current 3DS consoles. The 3DS stand packaged with Kid Icarus Uprising is also confirmed to be compatible with the 3DS XL.
Thanks, IGN.

Welp, I guess I’ll try my luck with the inevitable 3DSi. Better processing power, slightly larger screen, and hopefully a second thumb pad…

second cp is not really needed for the 3ds. but good for the complainers that there will be the add on i guess.
the 3ds isn´t a shooter console. this is the good news.
if you mainly want to play shooters then the 3ds just isn´t for you. stop complaining and get the vita instead. this console is for you then.
i love the 3ds the way it is. i will get the 3dsxl but noone is forcing anyone to”up”grade. the current 3ds is rock solid, you can play every current and upcoming game on it in full glory. i really don´t understand the complaints.

Nah, they will release 3DSi without second thumb because you have to pay extra to get it. Also, just like 3DS XL, it will have its own separate Circle Pad Pro that won’t be compatible with XL or normal 3DS.

@3: Funny, because so far the only decent 3DS games I’ve played are shooters.
Seriously, this sucker needs more games. Badly. Wheres my advance wars and fire emblem? Where is my anything other than my generic nintendo properties?
