Mass Effect 3 Extended Cut DLC kicks off with “Legend” save

BioWare has detailed how to access the extra ending content included in Mass Effect 3′s free Extended Cut DLC. Some spoilers ahead.

According to a handy FAQ, you won’t need a special save file prepared to access the extra content; after completing Mass Effect 3 once, any game with the DLC correctly installed will add a new “Legend” save file.

This save will take you back to just before Shepard’s assault on the Cerberus base, which triggers the end game; BioWare notes that you’ll have a number of choices to make throughout this section and may wich to reply it a few times.

The Extended Cut will release on June 26 on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in the US, but Europeans will have to wait until July 4 for the PlayStation 3 version.

So, how will the new ending fare against the one we already have? Well at least it is free, so I guess I can give it a spin. Can’t be much worse than what we have.

Oh, and yeah, I hate writing in the early morning hours too, though third paragraph, last seven words, you might want to check them. At least it does not make any sense to me right now. Then again it is early in the morning and I am quite impressed to be able to read at all.

Its not a new ending. It just expands upon the endings we were given like a directors cut of sorts for the game.
