Hitman: Absolution - Agent 47 slips unnoticed into Hope, South Dakota

IO Interactive has sent over a Hitman: Absolution tease which reveals the first edition of Hope News times, the local newspaper for Hope, South Dakota.

The weekly publication reports the latest news town, and depicts a new chapter in the game. It's posted below.

According to Square, the citizens of citizens are "heavily influenced by local legend Blake Dexter" and his company, Dexter Industries. When Agent 47 arrives in town, a bedlam of strange accidents and occurrences follow in his wake.

If you read over the paper, it has a few stories about the town's inhabitants, pay particular attention to the "corrections section" if just for a bit of a smile.

The developer never said whether this would be one of the newspapers players would see upon completing a mission in Absolution, but it looks that way to us.

IO and Square plan to release a new Hope News Times every Thursday and an accompanying screenshot from the game each Friday on the title's official Facebook page and on the Barcode Society website.

So that's something to look forward to.

Hitman: Absolution is slated for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 sometime this year.
