Quick shots – first look at Notch’s 0x10c

Get a sneak preview of Minecraft creator Markus “Notch” Persson’s ambitious new project, 0x10c.

Only one of these screenshots was publicly released by Persson; the others were found through URL manipulation, hosted on his website. As such, you definitely shouldn’t take them as representations of the finished game.

0x10c will include a fully programmable computer, and player’s ships will have limited power generators, requiring them to manage which devices they have running. All physics and ship systems will be emulated at all times, even when the player is offline, leading to a subscription fee to maintain ongoing server costs.

Thanks, Kotaku.

Looks pretty cool if a little too like minecraft in some of those images.

It all looks a bit too much like Noctis, A space sim from a few years back, and I doubt Notch could make a better space sim than that… also its not gonna be free like Noctis is.
