0x10c - 1,000 codes handed out celebrating Minecraft's 8 million PC sales milestone

0x10c codes were handed out by Markus "Notch" Persson, in celebration of Minecraft reaching its 8 million sold milestone on PC. The way the codes were handed out though, was a bit tricky.

According to a line of code included with Mojang's post on Monday, 1,000 codes for 0x10c would be handed out, and all it took to decipher said code was the Reddit collective.

Said line of code, "69I960EHE0A4A0IVG0EHE02500R4R0G1T30PLJ00V6V0EHE0V1U01V10U5U0VGV0V4R" translated into binary, pointed to a URL on 0x10c's website where users could download a .7Z zip file.

Using the password "MONTAUK" which is the codename for 0x10c, users were able to extract a text file with 1,000 codes for 0x10c.

Here's what the file read, exactly:

"HELLO; 1000 CODES FOR 0x10^C WHICH WILL EVETUALLY BE RELEASED; PLEASE SHARE THESE WITH THE COMMUNITY; TO REDEEM ACODE GO TO ACCOUNT.MOJANG.COM; WE LOVE YOU"

All codes have been claimed, obviously.
