ME3 collector’s edition selling out in most UK retailers

Friday, 9th March 2012 09:01 GMT By Johnny Cullen

EA’s released a list of outlets that are sold out out on Mass Effect 3 N7 Collectors Edition in the UK.

Amazon, Shopto, HMV and Asda are some of the outlets affected. GameStop UK and Argos still has orders going, while Blockbuster and Sainsburys has only the PS3 version left.

In the Republic of Ireland, the Collector’s Edition is only available from GameStop Ireland.

Those buying the standard edition with the in-game N7 Warfare Gear weapons pack can pick it up at all main UK retailers. Well, with the exception of GAME.

For the Republic of Ireland, the weapons pack remains only available to those who buy at XtraVision.

Mass Effect 3 launches today on PS3, 360 and PC.

I had a copy of the CE preordered at Game, and by the time they sent me an email informing me of it’s cancellation all of the extra CEs that went to other stores had already been sold out (as far as I could see). Fortunatly I’d seen the news a couple of hours earlier and managed to grab what probably must have been one of the last copies.

Strangely, here in Sweden, there doesn’t seem to be any real shortage of CEs. Of course, that could be because the price is close to £100.
