Game of Thrones RPG classified for Australia

Cynaide's RPG based on George RR Martin's explosively popular fantasy series may be further along than expected.

The game has been listed by the Australian Classification Board with an MA15+ rating for "strong violence, sexual violence and coarse language".

While it's quite common for games to be classified well in advance of release, and even before completion, the major structure needs to be in place for classification to occur.

Interestingly, only an Xbox 360 release is mentioned, despite the game's intended launch on PC and PlayStation 3 as well.

Game of Thrones is Cyanide's second attempt at an officially licensed game for the Song of Ice and Fire series, and was in development alongside its ill-fated strategy effort. The RPG will use assets from the popular HBO show of the same name.
