DICE discusses Back to Karkand, BF2's Dragon Valley in latest edition of PWNED

When developing Back to Karkand for Battlefield 3, DICE said that while looking at some of the popular maps from Battlefield 2 for inclusion in the pack, one it wanted to add but couldn't was Dragon Valley.

Speaking in the latest edition of PWNED, Karkand's lead designer Niklas Fegraeus said it was really important for DICE to maintain "what these maps were" when converting them over into BF3 and because there was such a drastic difference between Dragon Valley's Asian setting than the locations in the rest of the game, it was axed.

As far as whether it will be released later on as DLC was concerned, Fegraeus said "you never know." There's always hope then, we reckon.

The show also features Match Magazine’s Darren Cross explaining how to "do better at set pieces" in FIFA 12 by providing tips on defending corners; Yianni Charalambous discusses the celebrities whose rides he "pimps out", and QPR star, Jay Bothroyd, talks Need for Speed: The Run.
