Howard: Skyrim will feature infinite quests – info

Thursday, 10th November 2011 07:06 GMT By Johnny Cullen

Infinite dragons in Skyrim? Bah fooey: Todd Howard sees you and raises infinite quests.

The Bethesda Game Studios director told Wired that the RPG will be unlimited in terms of random events that will be generated throughout the game’s world, depending on skill level.

One such example given is once you finish scripted missions for the Dark Brotherhood or the Thieves Guild, you’ll be able to do randomly generated missions for either group, such as assassinate shopkeepers.

But that’s not all: other options include hunting for bandits in a place you havent been yet as requested by an innkeeper, or an alchemist will ask you to find ten undiscovered flowers.

It’s all endless from here on out, basically.

“The vibe of the game is that it’s something that you can play forever,” said Howard.

Skyrim launches worldwide on PS3, 360 and PC worldwide tomorrow. Reviews will go live at 1pm GMT.

    what’s the point?
you would be doing the same quest from other people.

if an old man ask you to steal a lion, a young woman would ask you to do the same, endlessly repeating itself:/

“Great Overseer! This generic shop keeper must be assassinated, also the toilets need to be scrubbed.”

Infinite quests? I’m sorry. Who never played Daggerfall just don’t know that this system is retarded.

I hope you will enjoy infinite fetch quests and believe me, they are extremely retarded.

i want this game today! i really hope the shop i preordered will call me within the next hours. if not i will force them to hand over my copy!
still can´t decide which race to choose…they all look greatthis time around and since it´s not ´really´ classes anymore it seems not to be such a huge decission….i´ll probably go for dark elf because i think it´s a great allrounder role…but a female kahjit charakter would also be tempting…

Didn’t one of the Fable games have infinite bounty missions or something?

Infinite quests really isn’t as good as it sounds. They tend to feel very generic and pointless.

Tragic thing about #5 is that he didn’t even exist in their dad’s ballsack when most of the internet people he keeps attacking played PC games. It became obvious ages ago that 80 percent of what he says is lies, the other 20 being poorly paraphrased internet quotes. Schizophrenia: It’s no joke.

How can having unlimited guild missions ever be considered a bad thing?

@5 Actually, as it happens, I did play Daggerfall, and Arena, both for a very, very long time. I for one welcome infinite quests. Not realistic, you say? Never done a real job in real life, I guess.
