Nintendo Australia has announced an antipodean launch window for 3DS racer Mario Kart 7.
Unusually, the game is set to launch on a weekend, officially hitting store shelves on Saturday, December 3.
The release date puts Australia in the same window as other territories. In Europe, the game is expected on December 2, but thanks to the magic of time zones, will only have the game for a few hours before Aussies do.
The US is less fortunate, having to wait until December 7, while Japan sees it December 1.
Nintendo highlighted both Mario Kart 7 and Super Mario 3D Land in its recent semi-annual investor briefing, hoping the two first-party releases will revive a gloomy 3DS line up.
