Australian LA Noire Steam price almost doubled

The cost of the PC version of LA Noire on the Australian Steam portal has suddenly inflated.

The Team Bondi-developed title is now listed on Steam at $89.99, with a 10% discount available on pre-orders dropping it to $80.99.

Previously, the game had been posted at $44.99, in line with the US. The Australian and American dollars have been neck-and-neck for months.

Rockstar and 2K have acquired a reputation for listing games on Steam’s Australian store at international pricing, only to correct the listings at a later date in line with local retail prices.

Thanks, Alan!

I have to say if this is standard practice it constitutes little more than a bait and switch. Still if people were aware of this In the time honoured words of Beyonce “if you like it then you shoulda put a ring on it”
