MGS, ZoE HD Collections confirmed for Vita

Hideo Kojima has announced the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection will come to Vita next year.

The announcement was made at the Sony Tokyo Game Show press conference.

The MGS Collection, which features HD versions of Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, releases worldwide on PS3 in November.

Furhtermore, the Zone of the Enders HD Collection will also appear on Vita alongside its PS3 counterpart next year. That particular pack features the first ZoE game, as well as sequel The Second Runner.

Kojima also announced that the new Fox Engine, being made alongside Kojima's next original game, will support Vita as well as PS3. The engine was shown for the first time at E3 as a multiplatform affair.

When we'll actually see the new game, Kojima wouldn't say, but was blunt in saying that it could "take a while," adding he couldn't say anymore on it.
