Guillemot: Assassin’s Creed Wii U to take place after Revelations

Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot has said that Assassin’s Creed for Wii U will take place after Revelations.

In an interview with Swedish publication AftonBladet, when asked if Revelations was the title coming to Wii U – something which was already shot down – Guillemot said: “No, not “Revelations.” For the future.”

He refused to say if the next title was Assassin’s Creed 3 or something else entirely.

Revelations, the final game in the series which will feature Ezio as the main protagonist, will launch in November for PS3, 360 and PC.

If this turns out to be an exclusive i’ll be surprised. Although for Ninty to nail an exclusive title in one of the best series’ about would make them a crafty devil.

Enough side stories, give us AC3 already, enough milking for god’s sake…

Wow, misleading headline alert. It doesn’t say anywhere in that interview that the wii u game takes place after Revelations. It says that it’s a separate game which will be made after Revelations, which indicates nothing about its setting or position in the AC timeline.

I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s just some random spinoff which acts more like a companion piece alongside the main AC games, like the AC PSP and DS games they’ve already released.

@4 No, they didn’t make any assumptions about setting, and in any case, they are referring to the same couple of words from the same interview.
