Spike to be exclusive TV broadcaster of Microsoft E3 briefing

Spike TV's announced it'll be the exclusive broadcaster of the Microsoft E3 briefing in Los Angeles on June 6.

It'll air live a 90 minute program known as "Xbox 360: The Future Revealed," which will be shown on the channel as well as GameTrailers.com, Facebook, Xbox.com/E3, MTV.com, mobile platforms and on demand on Xbox Live. It'll also air in Times Square, New York.

"We are excited to be back again this year working with Spike TV and MTV Networks to broadcast our E3 Media Briefing to millions of consumers around the world," president of interactive entertainment at Microsoft, Don Mattrick.

"We encourage everyone to tune-in Monday as we world premiere our exclusive line-up of leading blockbuster games, showcase the next wave of innovation for Kinect and demonstrate new ways to experience the entertainment you love."

Two games were name dropped for the press conference, Gears of War 3 and Forza Motorsport 4, but no other hints were provided in what else to expect. It follows a report from yesterday that cites ten non-sequel Kinect games will be shown at the event, with reveals of Dance Central 2 and Kinect Sports 2 also expected.

Microsoft's E3 briefing will take place at the Galen Center on the campus of the University of Southern California from 9am PST (5pm BST) on Monday, June 6.
