First Space Marine dev diary goes hard on the gameplay

THQ's just put out the first Space Marine dev diary, revealing gameplay and plot for the the stellar-looking Relic actioner.

The previous comparisons to Gears of War look well-founded, but this is so achingly 40K, replete with red mist and what looks like some beautiful melee action, that this has to go up as a must-buy when it hits PC, 360 and PS3 this August.

The game's plot sees a marine sent down onto a weapons manufacturing planet to stop the orcz getting hold of a titan and knocking the s**t out of mankind.

See for yourself. Bloody lovely.
