Mortal Kombat’s Raiden gets a gameplay video

If you were left wanting a bit by the bio trailer released for the deity last week, you will be pleased to know that today, Netherrealm has released a bit of gameplay for Raiden.

Raiden was always our favorite to play, other than Kitana. Gotta love his Torpedo move and the gibberish he spouts while doing so.

Game’s out on April 21 for PS3 and 360.

Glad to see he still has his dive attack complete with that ridiculous scream :)

That’s what it always sounded like to me. It varied from person to person I think. :D

Ok, I’m going to be honest and I hope you don’t think I’m a hater or an insomniac. Game is looking good indeed… all the classic stuff on it and the graphics, action, etc… BUT, my problem is with the gameplay. It looks like any of the previous (LAME) Mortal Kombat games (after Mortal Kombat 4 or Gold). That “fighting style” stuff is really, really lame. The fighting moves doesn’t even look a little like the real fighting style and the moves are slow and robotic.

I thought this would be like the good Mortal Kombat games… each characters with their owns moves (no style, that is IMPLICIT), fluid hits, throws, etc. Hope at least this one is the ONE that makes it for the last generation and the current and we get those great secrets, extras, lots of stages, fatalities, movie endings for each character and stuff like that… at least.
