Paradox announces Magicka: Vietnam

Paradox Interactive made a surprise announcement at GDC today, announcing a new Magicka expansion that will take place in Vietnam.

The new content will let you roam the war-torn jungles of Vietnam, as you take on the role of four meek and physically inept wizards in their quest for blowing stuff up.

They’ve also released a announcement trailer for the game, which shows you, well, blowing stuff up. There’s guns, there’s magic, it’s full-on crazy in there.

Magicka: Vietnam will be releasing for all major distribution channels on PC. No date yet.

As horribly broken as that game is, it’s still easily one of the funniest I’ve played for a long time.

I can’t stop chuckling at the way people talk in the game. I’m so lame.

But yeah, respect +5000 for that expansion, and that fucking song recorded in the games dialect :P

Is this press release one month early?

@DSB, i think with this expansion they want to fix everything. I believe in them because they made a really good (broken with bugs) game.

+ DICE i think laugh their ass off right now :D

@5 Can’t argue with that :)

Few things piss me off as much as developers releasing broken games, but quite arguably Arrowhead Studios have been so hilarious in aknowledging that they fucked up, that you can’t help but love them.

And there is definitely a good game in there somewhere, it just needs some help.
