No Tomb Raider voice actress yet, official merchandise inbound
Crystal Dynamics global brand director Karl Stewart has said the developer is yet to cast a voice actress for the upcoming Tomb Raider reboot, and that official merchandise is being considered.
Answering fan questions on Twitter, Stewart said the Crystal Dynamics team is still searching for the perfect voice.
“Still on the lookout. She’s out there, I know it,” he tweeted, before explicitly confirming that previous incumbent Keeley Hawes would not be reprising her role.
While unable to give details, Stewart virtually promised official merchandise to accompany the upcoming game, urging fans to “watch this space”, and when asked about special editions, agreed that a figurine was not a bad idea.
Finally, Stewart confirmed that a popular Lara Croft image was simply a test and not part of any official release.

Hm, well. She was excellent in The Guardian of Light, but since they are going for a younger Lara they might want someone with a younger voice?

Since they’re going for a realistic direction, I suppose they need to find an actress that can deliver a more natural and everyday-Jane kind of performance.
