Breach goes Gold, dated for January 26 for PC and XBLA

Atomic’s just confirmed that its downloadable shooter title Breach has gone Gold and will release worldwide on January 26 on PC and XBLA.
The game will be 1200 MS points for 360 owners and $19.99 for PC owners.
Breach will also launch on PC in two flavours: downloadable and at retailer compared to just one flavour on 360, which is Live.
Keza talked to Atomic boss Peter Tarmie about the game last year. See that here.
Check out the screens of it below, and a trailer which is courtesy of BigDownload.

So, the difference here is that this is a downloadable shooter?

@3 The main difference is that all the cover/walls is destructable & the holes or breaches you create will be wherever you place the explosive or shoot your rocket.
I was actually hoping this would be coming to ps3

“The main difference is that all the cover/walls is destructable”
That’s sweet, really, but also in no way different.

@6 in no way different from what? Name another game that does this. And don’t say bfbc2 because the destruction in that game does NOT appear right where you put the explosive.

@ 7: So buy Castlevania: LoS – it’s probs the best multi-plat GoW clone out there.

@11 True that.
If that was a new born baby and I had just delivered it, I’d smack the mother.

I think it looks ok for an xbla title. i wouldn’t expect visual perfection on such a medium.

Well, i guess it depends on how many players you can have in a game and how big the maps are. But if it looks like that and only does about 16 players, then seriously, fugly for no reason.

You seem to forget, that it’s mix of 1st and 3rd person. You can take cover behind walls etc. and shoot like in 3rd person.
I’m actually looking forward to this. The screens don’t look really promissing but in looks better in action imo.

Christ, that almost looks like Counter-Strike Source graphics. Being downloadable isn’t an excuse for having poor visuals with games like BF1943 on PSN and XBLA. That game didn’t look great either, but compared to this…

The physics engine seems cool though. Will be interesting to read the reviews.
