RIFT set to release on March 1, founders sub program unveiled

Trion Worlds has give its fantasy MMORPG, RIFT a release date along with some news on the pre-order program and a collector's edition.

According to the pre-order page, the game is set to release on March 1 in the US and March 4 in the UK. Those planning on a pre-order will get to choose from three in-game pets along with the ability to play the game a week before the official launch date. The head start begins February 24, and all pre-order customers are automatically invited to participate in the remaining bits of the beta.

You can also get in on a multi-month subscription for $9.99, which is a time-limited Founder's Pricing program. If you choose a subscription plan by March 15, and maintain the sub, you will get this price for the life of the game.

RIFT will be made available in the Digital Standard Edition for $49.99/€49.99/£34.99 and the Digital Collector’s Edition for $59.99/€59.99/£39.99
