robpardo

Blizzard’s EVP of game design Rob Pardo has just revealed at Blizzcon a reveal of the company’s next MMO is not likely to happen until 2012 at the earliest.

Speaking with Geoff Keighley, Pardo also said the 50-strong development team was playing with prototypes internally.

Not much else was said.

Think this will be a console MMO?

I’d imagine it would, so not to impeach on WOWs market, or at least give it it’s own.

@9 Doubt it. Blizzard knows what works, and that’s not one of them.

The only competition Blizzard has to beat is itself, so they’ll make money either way.

It’s not like they’re in a rush. They obviously have no need to rush this secret MMO out the door seeing as WoW is still very successful; it’s subs are still rising, it’s got expansions coming out that millions are buying, so why rush it when they have no need to. I imagine they will only get serious with it when WoW’s numbers start dropping.
