im quite surprised that Enslaved came in higher than Castlevania, though I guess I have seen a lot more advertising for Enslaved

It didn’t. It was a mistake on my part: Castlevania did better then Enslaved.
It’s fixed anyways.

Castlevania and Enslaved didn’t really pick the best time for release. I really struggled to find some spare cash after just buying Halo: Reach, Dead Rising 2 and Civilization 5. Too many games!!!!

The main problem Castlevania and Enslaved are facing are that they suck.

@4 – except they don’t. In fact they’re rather refreshing. I completed Enslaved at the weekend and, technical issues aside, I had a blast with it.

Your life must be really exciting if Castlevania, a game that has zero original ideas and Enslaved which is a bad Ico with combat are rather refreshing to you.

@mescalineeyes
they look quite refreshing in a world where every other game is a FPS now

Wow, with the attitudes of some of these new posters (4) I suddenly starting to feel like one of the good guys. Hahaha. Anyway, on to the games.
Rented Enslaved for 360. Great game with a very well thought out story and characterisation. Criminally short though. Little replay value.
Bought Castlevania for PS3. Loving everything about except the story. Such a great voice cast is being wasted onto this game’s story. Game is pure classic Castlevania though. Love the graphic design, character design, and especially the gameplay. It’s not my game of the year, but it’s probably a very close second.

btw, just pointing out. Ya know that rant I once in awhile do on Handhelds when people start boasting on them. I’d just like to point out that not one single Handheld game is in that top ten software line up.
Not that one can’t enjoy a handheld, knock yourself out, but just tossing in a bit ofperspective is all.

@12 if iPhone games were included in the top 40, I think the chances are the top ten would just be iPhone game.
Which are of course handheld games…..

With the piss poor sales of games at the moment, you’d possibly be right.

Just Dance 2 is out this week, and the original is still hanging on in the UK top 10. Top job, Ubi.
