EA’s announced it’s holding an open beta for the multiplayer of Medal of Honor on PC from October 4.
The beta will only run for a limited three-day run, ending on October 7.
The taster will feature two new maps and two modes: Kunar Base in Sector Control and Shahikot Mountains in Combat Mission.
EA Games president Frank Gibeau hopes the beta will also clear any “misunderstanding” about the “patriotism and respect” in the game, following a decision to pull the game from GameStops across all military bases in the US.
“We also hope that by offering the Multiplayer Open Beta, we can clear up any misunderstanding about the patriotism and respect that are the foundation of this game,” he said.
“The Medal of Honor franchise has always shown extraordinary reverence for American and Allied soldiers — this game is no exception.”
Medal of Honor releases on October 12 in the US, and October 15 in the UK for PS3, 360 and PC.
