PSA: Civilization V demo now available on Steam

Firaxis has released a demo for Civilization V on Steam today, as promised.
The game also launched today in the US, and launches September 24 in Europe.

cool thanks for the heads up. but after reading Eurogamers review about poor AI, I am having my doubts on this one. Such a shame!

Oh my God that was awesome! I REALLY like what they have done with the combat system. It’s so much more fun now when you have to think more about where to strategically place your units, in stead of just massing a giant stack of doom and attack.
I was so bummed when the demo ended, but at least it saved this nights sleep.
This friday can not come soon enough!

I was also very impressed and left wanting more. This is a good solid game.

It’s 4GB in size. Four whole gigabytes, for a demo. Madness!
