Next L4D 2 Mutations: GibFest on PC, Chainsaw Massacre on 360

Valve has detailed this week’s Left 4 Dead 2 Mutations for both PC and Xbox 360, giving you the opportunity to blast zombies with bullets or tear them apart, depending on what way you swing.

If you own a PC and aren’t really a fan of getting up close and personal with the brain-eaters, then this week’s Mutation, GibFest, will please you; it adds a M60 and unlimited ammo for you and your three friends.

Console owners needn’t feel left out. Instead of a M60 they’ll be getting up close and personal with Chainsaw Massacre.

Blood. Or bullets. Or blood.

Valve’s posted up some stats on the choice of this week’s Mutations, showing voting on both platforms.

PC owners gave GibFest 25 percent of the vote, followed by 20 percent for Versus Survival.

Chainsaw Massacre only managed to get 16 percent of the vote on PC.

The 360 crowd want blood, as seen by 26 percent of the vote going in Chainsaw Massacre’s direction compared to Gibfest’s 21 percent.

Here’s the stats:

Xbox 360

  1. 26% Chainsaw Massacre
  2. 21% GibFest
  3. 18% Versus Survival
  4. 15% Last Gnome on Earth
  5. 11% Four Swordsmen of the Apocalypse
  6. 9% Bleed Out

PC

  1. 25% GibFest
  2. 20% Versus Survival
  3. 16% Chainsaw Massacre
  4. 14% Four Swordsmen of the Apocalypse
  5. 13% Last Gnome on Earth
  6. 12% Bleed Out

The next DLC for Left4Dead 1 & 2, The Sacrifice, will see you playing as the Left 4 Dead 1 survivors, and will be released in October.

@1
I view it more as a PSA rather than ‘news’.

Anyway, it beats having nothing to look at on a slow Sunday.
