Realtime Worlds re-hires 23 staff

Administrators for games developer Realtime Worlds have announced 23 members of the 60-strong Dundee team working on the company’s MyWorld 3D project who were all made redundant earlier this month have been re-employed.
Joint administrator Ken Pattullo, of Begbies Traynor said: “As a smaller entity MyWorld is attracting considerable interest from potential buyers and 23 members of the team who had been working on the project clearly add value to it as a standalone business, hence the fact we have been able to offer a limited number of those jobs back.”
MyWorld was announced last month and is currently scheduled for launch in 2011.

Apparently Codemasters, The Creative Assembly, Blitz Games Studios, Activision and SCEE are going to host recruitment events for the layed off staff.

It’s great they will getjobs, but sad for Scotland to be losing the talent.
Maybe they should all join Rockstar in Edinburgh or we could have a SCEE Glasgow, that would be cool, they could create a drunk scotsman game for Move, although I have that down to a t already
