Blizzard lists known issues with StarCraft II, updates system specs

starcraftII

Blizzard has posted a list of known issues for StarCraft II over on the official forums, and other than current bugs, there’s also more detail on what processors and video cards will/won’t work with the game.

Just launched today, StarCraft II’s issues are bug related, one of which is the game’s auto-updater being shown by anti-virus programs as a Trojan, and another showing black screens “being related to the use of a Quick Cam webcam.”

A couple problems have workarounds listed, so hopefully those will help you eliminate the problem until a fix is issued.

The PC specs confirmed by Blizzard earlier in the month were also updated, so you’ll want to double check the system specs before running out and buying the game.

Thanks, BigDownload.

Those are pretty specific bugs but from what I see none game breaking. The Battle.net is also swamped to be expected though. Took me 10 times to activate SC2.

@3 Wow really? I was expecting it to be pretty bad but I went straight through.

@4

I had done it at the exact time that they allowed activating so I am sure if I waited 15 mins it would have gone through but I am an impatient bastard. Yeah it went pretty smooth compared to buying Blizzcon tickets.

When I am talking about activating. I am talking about purchasing it through Battle.net. I downloaded the game on Friday waited til this morning to install it and than I had to wait til noon for Blizz to allow purchasing the digital version. It worked out since I go to class and when I was done I could just come home and pay for it instead of hunting it down at all the stores.

The game is awesome. Haven’t played an RTS in years that I enjoyed. The most polished pc I’ve played in years too.

I’ve ordered ruse also based on the betas on steam. Seems to be a few good rts released near each other.

SC2 does look to be in a league of its own.

The game is good then folks?

I expected it to be, but am waiting for the dust to clear before I get my copy.
