Hulu rumoured for 360

Tech site Gear Live is rumouring that web TV service Hulu is going to be announced as a 360 addition at E3.
Gear Live’s claiming Hulu has been spotted in internal Xbox 360 dashboard builds, and that Microsoft will introduce the popular TV tool as part of their Xbox LIVE experience in LA later this month.
All unconfirmed. Microsoft’s E3 press conference is scheduled for the morning of June 14.
You’ll be able to get all the news here.

And it’ll be US only again, or if it ever reaches Europe, never outside of the UK.

Yep, yet another addition that doesn’t do any good for international users. Xbox is almost dead these days in Europe but the subscription fees are the same (or actually higher).
Sad face.

Its my understanding that its the BBC’s decision not to have iplayer on live as Microsoft wanted to only make it available to gold (payed) members

Hulu won’t happen in the UK, nor iplayer. Maybe lovefilm, but even they’ve got a pretty good relationship with Sony they wouldn’t want to spoil.

@1 Hulu specifically blocked the PS3 browser last year and sony didn’t pull anything out.
Hulu probably offered it back to both sony and microsoft but for a price. If the deal is just like netflix, MS probably got a year exclusivity out of it and sony is just waiting its turn.

It’s about time. They’ve been negotiating this for 2 years.
