Nintendo Power outs de Blob: The Underground for Wii, DS

The latest issue of Nintendo Power has the goods on the new de Blob game, and it’s apparently called de Blob: The Underground.
Underground will contain reworked mechanics, two-player support on Wii, 2D-style platforming, and will also be hitting DS courtesy of Halfbrick Studios.
The magazine also states that the title’s slated for spring 2011, which is right in line with what THQ said back in February.
THQ has the de Blob sequel on its list for E3, so hopefully we’ll learn more then.
Thanks, IGN.

De is just dutch for The. Dunno why THQ thought that was clever to hang on too as it means writing about or talking about the game makes people sound silly.

And that’s a bad thing… why?
The whole point is silliness. =P

They might’ve had copyright trouble using “The Blob” given that there have been several movies with the same title.
What happened to the supposed ‘multi-platformness’ of this sequel? I was kind of hoping it’d turn up on the hi-defs too.
