fluke? it clearly staged. The odds of both him throwing that random knife and hitting someone AND filming the match? Not only that, you see him prepping the throw in the specific spot. Nice throw, but anyone can do it when you practice it 100 times. many halo videos of crazy STAGED sticks. they just dont try to play it off as random luck.

At first I wanted to spit obscenities in disgust at how quickly and accurately the guy was moving and firing, preparing to insult aspects of his personal life…then I realized he was using M&K on the PC version and I felt better.

@jeremy: You do realize that the odds of it *not* happening are much higher than the odds of it happening, given that 10 million or so people are playing the game.

NO offense, It takes skill to time a throw like that. I’ll give the player that, but it looks like there is a bit of wall hack action.

Look at his scope and see how he’s trailing with it. Moving from left to right, like he knew where the player was going already.

Great skill in timing the toss of the knife, I’ll give the player that, but it came with some help I also looked at the radar and didn’t see a blip, so it wasn’t that type of help either

That’s not a PC – check the message shown right before he throws the knife at 0:22 – Press and hold LS to steady. So this also rules out the wallhack. Why he threw the knife there? There’s a spawn point in that place, so there’s a high chance there’ll be someone there

looks shocking! Must be a console version. I didnt think you could record on the PC version? If it is the pc version must be using fraps or something

1. It’s the 360 version, because of the 360 D-pad graphic on the HUD.
2. There are many ways to tell where someone is behind walls/buildings/etc, from using 5.1 to simply tracking general movement by knowing the map.

I was killed last night JUST LIKE THAT (on PS3 so no pc cheats).
They throw knives on respawn points from the other side of the map.

I saw G1GAHURTZ’s name in the lobby once and my dog died, it was nuts…

I came in thinking the guy just runs past him as he chucks the knife but this was brilliant. @_@

Now, it’s not this blog’s intention to post every little bit of gaming news (or is it?), but this is a more signal event than all the PR out there. Modern Warfare 2 for the PC, which infamously lacks dedicated servers, a console, the ability to kick players, and other things integral to a good PC game. Infinity Ward, maddeningly apathetic to the needs and requests of their users, has said that no changes to the stated areas are forthcoming.

Well, you can’t keep a good PC gamer down. Certain cracks already allow some online play, and now the console has been enabled, allowing players to kick, change POV and FOV, and presumably do most of the stuff Infinity Ward decided had to stay in the cookie jar. Tut tut, developers. You didn’t see this coming? You could have made it easier on yourselves, but instead you turned a whole segment of your market against you.

Once a game is released to PC, it can be hacked. All it takes is a person/s with the know how.

That’s would be a nice purpose if you know how to throw a knife. It could serve as Self Defense.
