I don’t get people who buy guides for games.
I can understand checking out a guide on gamefaqs if you’re totally and utterly stuck, but that’s more of a ‘once in a while’ thing, buying a guide suggests extensive use, which really fucks over your sense of exploration, discovery and achievement imo.

I bought one for Oblivion, so I could find all the rare books and so my map was 100% explored. I am thorough like that. I refuse to use the other word for it.

Well I bought the collectors edition of the GUide for 23$ vs Gamestop 34. It has a lot of lore in the back which I like to read. I also like to have the guide on hand when or if I do get stuck especially because my comp is rather far from my TV. Plus all the purty pictures =-P

Guide? I guess its got some fancy artwork in it but theres this thing called ‘the internet’…
Hell, i’m sure you could even find the guide scanned and up for free.

Steph, I launch most of my pc games via Steam (incl non-steam games) thus you’re only a shift+tab away from the Steam overlay and the Oblivion wiki

Maybe I should use Steam more often then!
