dsill5

It’s the DSiLL. It’s large. It’s really large. In fact, as Kotaku’s pointed out, it’s the heaviest portable gaming device so far this generation.

The facts:

  • 158g – PSPgo
  • 189g – PSP-2000
  • 189g – PSP-3000
  • 214g – DSi
  • 218g – DS Lite
  • 275g – Nintendo DS
  • 280g – PSP-1000
  • 314g – DSi LL

Nintendo announced DSiLL this morning. It has a 4.2 inch screens and will release in Japan on November 21. Europeans will get it in the first quarter of next year.

Scratch the ‘bigger for old people to see better’ theory. The thing would destroy their weak little arms!

I already find the DS Lite heavy, mainly because of the fact that you have to hold it in one hand with the stylus in the other.

It’s strange, Sony went smaller, Nintendo went bigger.

I’m actually quite surprised that the DS is so heavy, I woulda thought the PSP would be the heavier.

That’s… ill.

Yo.

Isn’t this a little soon btw, I mean how many months has DSi been out, I have no idea…

5th DS version already if I’m not mistaken? Trying to break some sort of record, are they?

Not trying to complain or anything though, I don’t really care, just sayin’… :)

Edit: Probably 4th version, I’m confused…

Will most likely end up on a table anyway. I’ve seen how oldies like to game with their DS. :)
