Microsoft removes November 17 date for Facebook/Twitter on XBL

Well, isn’t this a surprise.

Microsoft has removed all trace of the November 17 date that was on the Xbox website over the weekend for Facebook, Twitter and Last.fm.

The website now just lists autumn 2009 for the update.

We’ll email Microsoft about this for comment.

Oh, by the way, before we forget: we’re on Twitter in case you didnt know.

Sorry, SORT of a separate subject, but in regards this XBox/Sky deal, how does it work? Can I do this for example:

I already have a Sky+ box and am interested in Sky Multiroom. Can I purchase an XBox 360 (when Skys integrated) and watch DIFFERENT Sky channels upstairs through the XBox than what I’m watching downstairs through my Sky+ box???

I pay for all channels (except Sport) on my Sky+ subscription. Can I get these same channels through an XBox with this new Sky integration?

Not 100%, but I think it’s basically Sky Player.

Aaah I see. Thank you G1gahurtz. All I heard was “Sky coming to XBox” and wondered what that meant in terms of functionality.

Hmm, not really what I was after although the Sky Player is cool nevertheless. I use the Sky Player on my laptop often and have to admit it’ll be nice being able to watch the programs through the TV.
