Why would you think I play Halo3? My 13 and 16 yr old kids play Halo3 to be honest. Oh and I do own a PS3 same handle as here if you think you need to verify. But yea, I am sorry, Uncharted is VERY overrated. Just because it is a Sony exclusive doesn’t mean I have to like it, nor is it the reason I don’t like it. you stated your (wrong) opinion about a game you haven’t played yet and neither anyone else. So how do you know its overrated. It hasn’t been rated to my knowledge so far so where are your facts backing your (wrong) opinion.

Anyone who calls this game over-rated hasn’t played the new demo. It is, without a doubt, the most impressive demo i have played this year. 4 maps, more than 5 play modes, in game cross menu chat, amazing graphics, superb upgrade/earn/reward system, and even better gameplay.

Having played the multiplayer demo, I think this game is going to do for 3rd person multiplayer shooters what Goldeneye did for 1st person multiplayer shooters in the equivalent era. It’s a real leap forward by todays standards just as Goldeneye was back then.

How can an opinion be wrong? I didn’t enjoy Uncharted at all, you think the sequel will be any diff.? Me either. I love how PS3 fanboys cling to this stuff for validation. As if one or two key games makes their life as a PS3 owner worth while. We saw the same type of thing during the Sega Saturn days. No big, enjoy your game. It must burn you up inside tho, knowing that no matter what you say, or if critics praise it, the big PS3 games won’t top the big xb360 games. Sales wise. LBP anyone? Look it is what it is, plain and simple. If you throw yourself into/behind a video game system and tie your identity to it(foolish as it is), your going to feel and react like this. Anyways yea I do have a PS3 – fav games are F1 Champ ed, Warhawk and a couple PSN titles. But really it doesn’t offer much. Most of everything it has is also on xb360. I honestly don’t know anyone outside of a web site that owns a PS3, well that and one guy from Gamestop. All of my friends and family, and kids friends all own xb360. So, where do you fathom I am going to spend my game time? Tough one ‘eh?
Do yourself a favor, stop being a blind follower. There is a whole spectrum of games to be enjoyed out there. There are games for the PS3 I enjoy, and some that I am looking forward to in the future. Just because I don’t like Uncharted doesn’t make me anything one way or another. And yes, Uncharted is VERY overrated. As would any high profile exclusive for PS3(because it needs the hype and buzz to stimulate sales). Here is one to think about, and I bet it just eats you up, Halo ODST will likly outsell Uncharted 2

Actually Gamoc everything listed there is owned by Sony, and thats only the stuff they’ve released on PS3. Sony own an insane amount of IP’s in all which means they can only ever appear on Sony platforms.

Why is Gears even ‘good’ it’s becuase of event marketing, and a completely good game.

Why is Uncharted ‘bad’? Because it wasn’t good enoguh for many people to buy.

It’s simple. Sales really do equal perceived quality.

I don’t care what console he owns, prefers, whatever. I just find it incredibly stupid to say a game is overrated when you admitted that you have never played it, basing all of it on the prequel. Thats insane. I’ve never played the first and U2 has to be the best 3rd-person shooter on any console, bar-none. That multiplayer is orgasmic. If there’s not sales behind a game, then it’s opinion whether a game is good or not.

As soon as they is sales, you can see a movemenet of people who think it’s good. It becomes something of a consensus.

If someone says there’s nothing on the PS3 worth buying, they are wrong, becuase they are bound to like an exclsuive. But those big sellign games, are games everyone lieks and knows, so…. They are good games, even if you’re opinion they aren’t.

I’ve not been brainwashed, I am hoping Uncharted 2 does wimmingly, becuase of it’s coverage this year, and the geberal perception around it and the PS3. But we just don’t know.

I leave no man behind…And pracer I don’t mean to come off like an asshole but I just love to debate people who make statements with no points attached. If you had said the 1st uncharted wasn’t good by your standards in your first comment then things would have been said differently.

Now, I own a PS3(and a Wii). I didn’t spend 700usd on a BC PS3 when it launched because I was set out to be a Hater. Nor did I buy one because I am a Xbot. I bought one because I love video games. Period. But man did I get screwed. Dark Kingdom for example. I thought hmm, like Champs of Norath. Not even close. So many games one after another were crap. Sure the games now are better. But not better then what xbox offers, so why bother?

Some facts as I see them.
My first xbox had rrod, it was replaced within two weeks and has been fine ever scince. I went through 5 PS2s so it didn’t strike me as a criminal thing.

I like the PS3 built in chargers, nice. I use a wired xb360 controler to save batts.

Wireless net out of box is nice on a PS3, however wired always works better no matter what system you have Wii, PS3, Xb360, or PC.

I hate HATE long installs, system updates on PS3.

PSN is slower then hell. I can DL the same damn demo on LIVE in one third of the time.

LIVE bans players. That means when people cheat, get caught they get banned. It is a paid service and it is policed. Need an example, look at the Shadow Complex game. MS/epic are banning cheaters.

I have been team killed in LIVE games. It happens once in awhile. But on PSN, it team killing is a damn sport. I don’t have an answer for this one, other then to say again people pay to play LIVE, getting banned means something. Maybe thats why.

XB360 controlers > PS controlers comfort wise. I hate them damn Sony ones.

Xbox is the target platform, PS3 has become the ported one. That has pluses and minuses, sometimes ported platform will have extra content or somethings smoothed out, however that also means getting the game late from time to time too. Or the game just being run smoother on xb360 (Orange Box, Lost planet for examples).

LIVE is smoother, faster, better then PSN. You get what you pay for. PSN is better but even Sony folks have admitted this past Pax that (and they were touting their progress at the time) they were far behind LIVE. Yup they have gotten better. Big deal.

Blu-Ray Movies are nice!

Streaming Netflix on my xb360 is nicer.

Both systems upscale SD movies, so I rarely want to pay bluray prices for a movie = mute point.

My friends and family call it the SlowStation 3.

I can think of a few more things but hey can’t we all.

Laslty I haven’t played the new Uncharted 2 demo yet. I played Uncharted and didn’t like it at all. Based on that I felt going into Uncharted 2, it was over hyped. I also felt the same way about Gears of War2 and feel that way now going into Halo ODST.

So you agree the Wii is twice as good a console as the 360 then, right? Your “proof” is bollocks: sales figures do not indicate quality, otherwise Dame Barbara Cartland would be regarded as the finest writer in history.

As we’ve seen this month, the PS3 has suffered from a high price in the past, not poor games or bad online service or dodgy hardware or anything else. There’s some real proof for you.

Hard to count the Wii in the same catagory as the PS3 and xb360 I think. I just honestly think they aim to do different things. However I can tell you this, the Wii sold a ton and as such it is hard to deny that it ruely is the best system out there for many many people. It is all about taste I guess. What feature, games etc appeal to the person buying it. My late 50 yr old parents own a Wii, and I don’t think, no matter what price they are, they would be interested in either the PS3 or the xb360. They do however love the bowling in Wii sports. See what I mean? Apples and oranges.
