Gears of War 2 Double XP week celebrates Dark Corners release
With the release of All Fronts and Dark Corners, Epic is hosting another Double XP session for Gears of War 2 players.
Only instead of a weekend, it will last all week long and be available to the public playlist and private games as well.
The Double XP week ends August 3, so long into XBL and get to fragging.

I haven’t seen ANY reason to “level up”… unlike other shooters where it unlocks enhancements.

Unfortunately, I just found out that this only applies to the Dark Corners playlist and Horde mode. Sucks, kinda.

Getting XP in horde mode is just the icing on the triple-layer, buttercream-smothered, cherry-studded cake.
Cannot get enough horde mode. I hope for the next Gears they develop horde a little toward L4D where you also have to travel to objectives. That would be just about the perfect game.
