Capcom confirms Monster Hunter 3 online plans

Capcom has announced its online plans for Monster Hunter 3.

The Wii-exclusive boasts both single and online play, but after the free deals lasting 20 or 90 days, “Hunting Tickets” will cost the following:

  • 30 days – 800 points
  • 60 days – 1,500 points
  • 90 days – 2,000 points

Game’s out August 1 in Japan.

Yeah, no. I was pretty down on Unite for not having online play and now they want to charge for the online play for the wii version? Seems like they really don’t want me to play their game, which is exactly what I’ll do now, easy choice, I’ll just save my money for something else.

They’re “Wii and handheld only” because those are currently the most popular formats on the market. And great as the game’s might be, they’re still running off a half-decade old PS2 engine.

BTW, Humar, it’s very easy to set up Monster Hunter Freedom Unite to run online, and you don’t even have to hack your system to do it. Do a Google search, you should be able to find a tutorial on how easily enough.
