This is looking really good and faithful to the source material. This could finally kill the curse of video game movie adaptations.

He doesn’t look as good as the other guy that way rumoured to get the role. Prince something-or-other.

Is it based on Sands of Time? Or the classic series? Or the new one? Or something else entirely?

Subtle differences like Disney logo above title and release date of May 2010 is gone.

Agreed – that poster is gimped. It doesn’t even have Mike Newell down as director.

As far as I understand it, its based somewhat around the plot elements of the Sands of Time game, but as you’ve probably noticed, the outfit is quite similar to his Warrior Within look.

I’ll highly doubt they’ll be stupid enough to turn him into a foul mouthed metal head wannabe though, like they did in that game. That’s one move I’m sure they’ve learned from.
