Battlefield 1943 now on Live

This game is quite possibly the best value for money ever. It’s better than 90% of full price titles that are release at retail, and cheaper to boot.

Not on the Dutch marketplace…..yet.

So looking forward to playing this tonight. What a fantastic idea. Hope the DLC/extra maps are reasonably priced when they come out.

In the UK it was available but it wasn’t on the “latest” lists. I went via Game Videos, Battlefield 1943, all downloads. Maybe the same for you.

I played BF1942 on the PC a lot and loved those maps!!

@Drdamn spot on advice a game this popular should be on the front end though don’t you think?

I think those things can take a little longer to filter through – I expect it will be later.

I honestly don’t think I can wait till september (!?) for the pc version.

Removing the Medic has made me not really all that bothered to be honest. Actually Heroes aside I can’t remember the last time I actuallyh enjoyed a proper Battlefield game.

Modding BF2 most likely.

Played some of this so far. The first few games were great but it’s a lagfest now and borderline unplayable. Same thing happened with Bad Company.

It seems to crash.. a lot. 4 of us was on it earlier and we all crashed out at some point. Seems a bit off, wasn’t really enjoying it that much.

Who’s played it – how is it?

It froze on mine unlocking a Medal after killing someone whilst defending a flag.

Played it for a good hour now and have 5/12 Achievements.

It’s great when you get in a game that doesn’t lag/Freeze, but hopefully it’ll settle down. It’s unplayable if it lags.

Seems to have the same Close Quarters issue Bad company had where you put a whole clip into someone, they turn round and shoot you once and you die!

Still its quite fun once you get in a good game!

Seems to have calmed down a bit now.

I didnt have any troubles playing between 1 and 2 BST.

Not to go off topic but I am actually playing orange box at the moment.
I am about 2/3 through the first half life2 and have to say this game is impressive.

Wait till you get to eps 1&2! Brilliant stuff imo.

As for bf, great stuff, when you can actually get into a game which is nigh on impossible at the mo. Looks wonderful on a big tele and brings back many good memories.
