No multiplay in PC Ghostbusters

According to this Ecto-Web post, the PC version of Ghostbusters doesn’t have any kind of multiplayer feature, despite online play being present in both the PS3 and 360 versions.
The PC version doesn’t have any DLC listed as a feature, either.
Why? Unknown. We can ask, though.
It’s out on Friday for PS3 and PSP in Europe. If you want it on 360, you’ll need to get the US version. Same if you want it on PC. Thanks, Blue.

Its probably something to do with the fact they dont want there game to pirated and people are more than likely to want to play the multiplayer so they’ll end up buying the console version. And “Yes” I do realise pirating occurs on consoles too, but its not as common as PC pirating.

well people wil just pirate the game on console, there is after a huge market for console games. Pirates don’t don’t make money on pc games. pc gamers can use emulators or even mod their own multi player. There is no real way to stop a pc gamer if they truely want something. Good luck with hackers too.
By the if this game is made for console I can ganratee this game is trash. not really worth the hype. In the long run it’s game devs that hurting them self. I would rather quit gaming than to play trash.
game devs going bankuprt in a recession. Console games are on a decline. microsft and sony billions in the whole.

Aaaah, fanboys. Gotta love ‘em.

it has nothing to do with being a fanboy. there is higher chance this game will be a trash. there is only so much you can do on a console. must gameplay on consoles are pretty the same as far shooters go.
I should say that for action games and rpg too as well. console can’t even handle bsrpg or rpg or other genrs. More or less it’s pretty much the same game design.

Essentially its because the devs are far too lazy. with the Pc, you will need to have some kind of tech support so you can help those who cant get the game to work online (ie update their drivers) but I am guessing that the PC version will be a console port without the online play = no purchase for me.
Lazy developers dont deserve my cash. And, as The Sims 3 has shown, the PC market is huge and always will be.

“there is only so much you can do on a console.”
Good gameplay, since the dawn of time, has been about good design, not technical prowess.
“most gameplay on consoles are pretty the same as far shooters go.”
Than you clearly haven’t played the game. *waves around his review copy* Ghostbusters is many things, but a generic shooter it is not.

then there is the fact more and more share holders are now shfting over to pc. It’s because console hardware comapnies and game devs are going bankuprt.

http://www.wired.com/gamelife/2009/05/e3-predictions/
if this game flop you can bet arti may go under or the game devs will get fired or lay off because of high production costs.

“It’s because console hardware comapnies and game devs are going bankuprt.”
None of the console developers are going even close to bankrupt.
I can assure you, there’s far more chance or a random generic PC hardware manufacturer going bust in the overcrowded PC hardware market then there ever is of Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo or Apple ever going out of business.

maybe you should take a good at my links. console sale are on decline. sony and microsoft is back in the red.
alot of console game devs are going either bankuprt or inthe red.
http://bits.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/03/31/video-game-makers-seeing-red/
retail is turning to the used game market or reducing their self space because game consoles are not selling.

I’m well aware that Sony and Microsoft are back in the red. It’s the middle of a fucking recession; there’s barely a company that isn’t. You’d be very surprised how easy it is for a company to survive “in the red”.

you only have to look at Q4 09 to see why devs are in the red.
bringing out almost 15 super-high-budget games within 3 months is a dumb idea.
Consoles have nothing to do with it. Questionable business moves has everything to do with it.

they will be n the red. take a good look at christmas. what are devs going to rush all their game around christmas. then there is the fact the price of games are going up. also pircay on all consoles are going up. I bet more and more people will be buying used console games to not the retails are turning to the used game market.
then ther is the fact console are old. it you notice more and more people are finding out about cheaper games on the pc. the free games the pc as well, which will save more and more people money.

I’d ask what sort of a wage you were pulling… but I doubt the PCGA would need to scrape the barrel for such poor quality staff with a recession on.

it’s also the least impacted, just wait until the high end games come to the pc. the sales will rise.
I’m not worried, pc gaming is still doing well unlike consoles. some places in the world pc gaming is on fire with hardware sales.
there bigger chances that console will go the way of the dodo bird.

LMAO, you people come online just to argue about stupid things that don’t have any true effect on your lives whatsoever. Psychotext i’m still shocked to see you arguing over petty stuff as pc gaming sells.
Does BDH get under your skin so much that you must “try” to counter his every post.
