Atlus site hacked, trojan may have infected visitors’ PCs
Someone hacked into Atlus’ website yesterday and embedded a trojan that has quite possibly spread to online users.
The publisher warns that those who visited its website between 9:00am PST and 2:30pm PST could have been infected.
“The faith and trust of our fans is of the utmost importance to us, a responsibility we don’t take lightly,” said a statement released by the company.
Atlus has since temporarily shut the site down and urges those who stopped by to run a malware scan immediately.
Thanks, Joystiq.

What has Atlus ever done to anyone other than make chuffing awesome games.
Some people need shooting, hacking EA or Acti-Blizz I get, but Atlus? They’re the little guy (sort of) just trying to make good games.

Atlus are urging people to run “maleware” scans? Are you sure about that?
But yeah, hacking Atlus just isn’t on. Hoax though? How does Famitsu reckon that?
