BBFC rates first Silent Hill [Update]

I wouldnt mind a SH remake on PSP, or the original from the PSN Store for that matter, dont care about the Wii though, not unless its playable like a normal game.

Fraid not, it’s a PS1 re-release for PSN. The platforms thing is something we’ll fix if we don’t get binned

I still wish it was on the hi-defs. But I could be persuaded to try a Wii version if it wasn’t stupid.

One thing they absolutely must do is fix the controls. The first SH still used the old Resi-style tank controls, which are absolutely a deal-breaker for me these days.

Oh wait, is that right, deft? Well… that’s nice in one way, because it’s the unfurtled-with original. But nasty in another, because of the aforementioned horrible controls.

Well it was was a remake it probaly wouldnt be discribed as a title orginally released in 1999 on the BBFC’s site.

I’m assuming deft’s not lying. I have faith in human nature.

Not that I write that block of text but if it was a remake I’d like to think it would say so…

Going off the list of videos they rated is seems quite clear that they rated a final product set to release soon, thats pretty poor advertising for a remake, we would have heard or seen something long before.

There was NOWHERE where it says Climax was doing a Silent Hill remake, you were just making things up or reading too much into something not there.

Lol oh yeah, i went straight on to ‘games’ and ‘news’ expecting it to be there.
It could be Silent Hill… Or it could be Sparkster/Rocket Knight, now that would be cool.

Just a quick question; Why is that the original PS1 1999 version isnt on the BBFC site? Search for Silent Hill and you come across every game apart from that one…

It wasn’t rated by the BBFC. Must’ve been in the days before they cared about that kind of thing.
