BottleRocket’s The Flash shown in screens

theflasha

A few screens of what’s apparently a BottleRocket adaptation of The Flash have surfaced, showing… The Flash. See them here.

The game was apparently in development for now defunct publisher Brash.

BottleRocket wound up earlier this month when Namco pulled Splatterhouse from the firm.

Via Kotaku and superannuation.

How the heck would you ever do a Flash game without the whole game being in ‘bullet time’?

The Flash sucks.

There was a nice 80s storyline where The Flash had to go for AIDs tests cos he was sowing his seeds and living large. Err, obviously not ideal for a videogame.

You might say that Rock_Me_Amadeus, but this game looks suitably shit to have house that kind of narrative.

That does indeed look crap.

Yeah. The Flash. Standing still. Missed the point there.

Still, that was harsh, I am sure there would have been a lot more to it,a nd we all know that.

It was clearly early days, and even getting that far is commendable in the big picture.

It’s not really a screen shot though, is it? It’s from a guy’s portfolio site (since he’s probably out a job now…) so it’s more likely to be a mock-up of how the game would have looked before it got canned early in development.

Well a mock-up would probably be cocnept art.

if it’s in 3D it’s atleast going to be in-game assets. And it looks in-engine becuase otherwise it’s a pretty poor target render.
