Nintendo switches to grey logo

According to this Kotaku report, Nintendo’s German PR agency’s mailing the press telling them to stop using the old red Nintendo logo.

It should be grey, apparently. We’ll drop Nintendo UK a line about this in a few hours.

This could have astounding implications.

Does this mean that we have grey Mario to look forward to as well? Since red was iconic as the colour of both their logo and their most important mascot character.

Will the next Mario game feature geriatric Mario?

Only time will tell.

I totally agree. Red is too exciting. Grey is where it’s at. Given that most of their new market is also grey. And balding. And a bit overweight. They should make the logo fatter.
