What is it with these weird ‘literally translated from Japanese’ sub-titles of late?
They make me think of “I can’t believe it’s not butter”.

What was wrong with the old subtitle they had for it? City Folk?
Animal Crossing: Let’s Go to the City is a bit of a mouthful.

Wasn’t the “City Folk” thing banned in Australia? Culturally insensitive or something.

Yeah, what happened with City Folk? I hear they didn’t like it in Australia.

Ah right, that makes sense. That’s actually a bit of a weird insult over there. Boonie Folk is worse though.

Why does Australian cultural references have to mess with European ideas?
That probably does ‘t come across right but I hope you get the idea of what I meant.
Also why do Australia share releases/regions with Europe? Surely America would make more sense.

It sounds insane but it’s probably the case.
Still, if it means we get Animal Crossing Wii a little after everyone else, rather than TWO FUCKING YEARS like last time, it might be worth a stupid namechange.
