No Soul Calibur IV demo until after release

Joystiq learned at E3 this week that a Soul Calibur IV demo will not be available until after the game’s released later this month.

Namco Bandai would not be pushed on the matter, only saying it will be ready sometime “down the road.”

Soul Calibur IV is released on PS3 and Xbox 360 on July 29.

Some companies really don’t seem to get the point of demos do they?

I think they do.

“Demos… demos… they’re those things we put out for free to put people off buying the full game, right?”

An amazing demo is the only hope they have of convincing me to buy it after the last one. So I’m perfectly happy to wait for it.
