Microsoft to show Mafia II, Borderlands on PC in SF today

Microsoft is to show off some new Games for Windows titles later today in San Francisco, apparently including Take-Two duo Mafia II and Borderlands.

The software giant has also said that it will be expanding its partnership with AMD and NVidia for both processors and graphics card support.

The titles currently on show are:

  • Battlestations: Midway (Eidos)
  • Battlestations: Pacific (Eidos)
  • Borderlands (2K Games)
  • Call of Duty: World at War (Activision)
  • Crysis Warhead (Crytek/EA Partners)
  • Dawn of War 2 (THQ)
  • Devil May Cry 4 (Capcom)
  • Ghostbusters: The Video Game (Sierra Entertainment)
  • Quantum of Solace (Activision)
  • LEGO Batman: The Videogame (Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment)
  • Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa Video Game (Activision)
  • Mafia II (2K Games)
  • Project Origin (Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment)
  • Red Faction: Guerilla (THQ)
  • Saints Row 2 (THQ)
  • Zoo Tycoon 2: Ultimate Collection (Microsoft Game Studios)

    I wonder if it crossed the line from “sheer awesome” to “shitty exploitation” already, as it mostly happens when money gets into small but great projects.

    Seemed a bit fucking random, this. There’s nothing on the web related to a showing, either, which is odd if it happened yesterday. Borderlands especially would have been of interest to the Americeens because of the T2 connection.
