Announced at GDC, the adapter will allow you to use your Xbox One controller to play PC games, without having to have a USB cable stretched between the two.

"The wireless devices you use on Xbox One will work on PC as well," Microsoft's Phil Spencer said, as reported by IGN.

"We want to see that input isn't a barrier. Gamers should be able to play the games they want to play."

The adapter was not priced, but will be available later this year.

This is just the latest of Microsoft's announced initiatives to bring Xbox One and Windows 10 closer together. It's bringing cross-buy to the two platforms, for example.
