SWTOR celebrates Star Wars day with bonus XP, free droid

Star Wars: The Old Republic will celebrate May 4 in style, by providing goodies for players who log in on what has become known as Star Wars day.

SWTOR is offering double XP from 11:00AM PDT May 2 through 12:00AM PDT May 5.

If you have no need for XP there's a more concrete reward on offer.

"We're excited to announce that in honor of Star Wars Day and as a thank you to you, our players, we're giving away the new MT-4T Astromech Droid Mini-Pet to the entire Star Wars: The Old Republic community," BioWare wrote on the SWTOR website.

The droid will be available to existing Force and Sith players from later today. If you're a new player and register before May 4 ends in the US, you'll also receive the bonus.

In case you've never been on the Internet before, it's called Star Wars day because May the fourth be with you.
