Pre-load Destiny 2: Shadowkeep and New Light on Steam

You can now pre-load Destiny 2: Shadowkeep and Destiny: New Light on Steam.

Destiny: Shadowkeep and the free-to-play Destiny 2: New Light are both available to pre-load through Steam.

Because New Light is free-to-play, everyone can download and play whether they own Shadwokeep or not.

When both release on October 1, all players and items will be boosted to 750 Power. Every single item in the game is also being raised to a Power floor of 750. This means that very item in currently in your inventory will make the jump no matter the current level.

Those who purchase Shadowkeep will have access to Season of the Undying. Additional seasons will need to be purchased separately unless you buy the Digital Deluxe Edition of Shadowkeep. It comes with the Season Pass for all seasons during Year 3.

If you opt to buy seasons separately they will run you $10 each.

All Destiny 2 players, whether coming in with New Light or Shadowkeep, will have access to patrolling the Moon destination, the opening mission of Shadowkeep, two new strikes, Armor 2.0 build customization, new finishers, and more.

Also, be sure and transfer your game from Battle.net over to Steam as soon as possible.
